The composer Frédéric (Emes) Clay was born in Parigi on the third August 1838, the same year of the composers Bendl, Benvenuti, Bizet, Bruch, Callaerts, Fairlamb, Ferreira Veiga, Hill, Kremser, L'Arronge, Lacome, Morales, Schulz-Beuthen. He died in Great Marlow (Bucks.) on the 24th November 1889
