(1824-1899)

Johannes (Meinardus) Coenen, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Den Haag on the 28th Jenuary 1824, the same year of the composers Balart, Clavé, Cornelius, De Ferrari, Eichberg, Malipiero, Olander (Ölander), Perfall, Reinecke, Romani, Samuel, Smetana, Terziani. He died in Amsterdam on the 9th Jenuary 1899
