The musician Jan Ladislav (Johann Ladislaus; Ludwig) Dussek (Dusik) was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Caslav on the 12nd February 1760, the same year of the composers Brandl, Cherubini, Gaveaux, Giuliani, Graetz, Haack, Le Sueur, Moorehead, Partsch, Ragué, Shaw, Valeri. He died in St Germain-en-Laye on the 20th March 1812
