The musician Jakob (Johann Petrus) Haibel (Haibl, Heibel), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Graz on the 20th July 1762, the same year of the composers Agthe, Kelly, Momigny, Nicolini, Parke, Pollini, Portugal, Sogner, Storace. He died in Djakovar on the 24th March 1826
