The composer Vasily Pavlovich Kalafati was born in Evpatoriya on the 10th February 1869, the same year of the composers Cook, Drdla, Giannetti, Hinton, Kazanly, Levadé, Melcer(-Szczawinski), Pfitzner, Poldini, Prohaska, Roussel. He died in Leningrad on the 30th Jenuary 1942
