Piotr Perkowski, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Oweczacze on the 17th March 1901, the same year of the composers Albert, Bautista, Chevreuille, Egk, Ghisi, Helfman, Henneberg, Hlobil, Jelinek, Kauffmann, Keldorfer, Klussmann, Koutzen, Laks, Pelemans, Poot, Rodrigo, Rubbra, Sauguet, Shirinsky, Tomasi. He died in Otwock (Varsavia) on the 12nd August 1990
