The musician Joseph Aloys Schmittbaur (Schmittbauer) was born in Bamberg on the 8th November 1718, the same year of the composers Barbella, Camerloher, Conforto, Ferradini, Pasquale. He died in Karlsruhe on the 24th October 1809
