Tom (Jefferson) (Thomas) Scott was born in Campbelltown on the 28th May 1912, the same year of the composers Amellér, Ashrafi, Carvalho, Gillis, Glanville-Hicks, Hadjiev, Hess, Hughes, Jones, Jurovský, Jørgensen, Khadzhiev, Kowalski, Leon, Marttinen, Moncayo Garcia, Montsalvatge, Nejedlý, Nijazi (Niyazi; Tagi-zade-Hajibeyov; Tagi-zade-Khadzhibekov, Pentland, Pongrácz, Székely. He died in New York on the 12nd August 1961
