The composer Jan Tausinger, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Piatra Neamt on the first November 1921, the same year of the composers Allanbrook, Arnold, Beeson, Bergsma, Boldemann, Burghauser, Correia de Oliveira, Doran, Driessler, El-Dabh, Engelmann, Ferenczy, Geissler, Goldberg, Hewitt, Hines, Hopkins, Imbrie, Irino, Ishii, Kokkonen, Kurka, Lagidze, Landau, Lidholm, Nixon, Novák, Ogden, Podést, Rosen, Smit, Tischhauser, Townsend. He died in Praga on the 29th July 1980
