The composer Olof Ahlstrom (Åhlström), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Åletorp on the 14th August 1756, the same year of the composers Boutmy, Gehot, Horzizky, Kraus, Kunz, Lacépède, Linley, Mozart, Parigi, Reinagle, Righini, Schmiedt, Teyber. He died in Stoccolma on the 11th August 1835
