(1861-1934)

The composer Anton (Antoon) Averkamp was born in Willige Langerak on the 18th February 1861, the same year of the composers Arensky, Arroyo, Blon, Bossi, Bréville, Caryll, Gastaldon, Gerlach, Jones, Lazarus, Loeffler, Lorenzi-Fabris, Meyer-Helmund, Missa, Raimann, Samaras, Savard, Suk, Thuille. He died in Bussum on the first June 1934
