The composer Henk Bijvanck, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Kudus on the 6th November 1909, the same year of the composers Bacewicz, Bjelinski, Constantinescu, Cornejo, Doubrava, Dressel, Dzerzhinsky, Easdale, Estrada, Gavazzeni, Hajdu, Holmboe, Horký, Hughes, Kagen, Kubin, Lavagnino, Murrill, Mushel', Nordoff, Orr, Pesonen, Prokopiev, Röttger, Schoop, Schwaen, Siegmeister, Skulte, Thomas, Tuukkanen, Uhl. He died in Heemsted (Haarlem) on the 5th September 1969
