The composer William Sterndale Bennett, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Sheffield on the 13rd April 1816, the same year of the composers Bazin, Binder, Engel, Graffigna, Loder, Markull, Saloman, Schmidt. He died in Londra on the first February 1875
