The composer Siegfried Saloman, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Tondern on the second October 1816, the same year of the composers Bazin, Bennett, Binder, Engel, Graffigna, Loder, Markull, Schmidt. He died in Stoccolma on the 22nd July 1899
