George Whitefield Chadwick was born in Lowell on the 13rd November 1854, the same year of the composers Catalani, Curti, Diet, Giménez (Jiménez) (y Bellido), Heidingsfeld, Humperdinck, Janácek, La Tombelle, Lemaire, Lishin, Massa, Moszkowski, Perger, Rung, Smareglia, Sousa, Tinel. He died in Boston on the 4th April 1931
