The musician Philip Cogan (Coogan), author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Cork in 1748, the same year of the composers Albertini, Barrière, Lidón, Neefe, Paluselli, Rheineck, Schacht, Schuster, Seydelmann, Shield, Stadler.
