The musician Sir Frederic Cowen was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Kingston on the 29th Jenuary 1852, the same year of the composers Bayer, Borkowski, Clarus, Corder, Coronaro, Gobatti, Grünfeld, Hillemacher, Housely, Huber, Kaan (Kaan-Albest), Laurens, Marzo, Mascheroni, Mengewein, Neitzel, Oswald, Pugno, Raida, Stanford. He died in Londra on the 6th October 1935
