Alfred Grünfeld was born in Praga on the 4th July 1852, the same year of the composers Bayer, Borkowski, Clarus, Corder, Coronaro, Cowen, Gobatti, Hillemacher, Housely, Huber, Kaan (Kaan-Albest), Laurens, Marzo, Mascheroni, Mengewein, Neitzel, Oswald, Pugno, Raida, Stanford. He died in Vienna on the 4th Jenuary 1924
