Sem Dresda, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Amsterdam on the 20th April 1881, the same year of the composers Alaleona, Barlow, Bartók, Bisquertt, Blumer, Cadman, Eggen, Enescu, Gilse, Kazuro, Le Flem, Napoli, Rogowski, Sandby, Savine, Schneider-Trnavský, Schryock, Valente. He died in Den Haag on the 30th July 1957
