Cecil Gray, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Edinburgh on the 19th May 1895, the same year of the composers Baeyens, Binder, Brustad, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Castro, Dandelot, Dostal, Estrada, Gotovac, Guerrero (y Torre), Hindemith, Höffer, Kattnigg, Kogoj, Lyatoshyns'ky, Martelli, Nechayev, Orff, Osterc, Rathaus, Rocca, Schiuma, Still, Thórdarson, Tijardovic, Toldrá, Trambitsky. He died in Worthing on the 9th September 1951
