The musician Gottfried Grünewald (Grunewald), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Eywau in 1675, the same year of the composers Coletti, Lacoste, Laurenti, Orlandini, Sabini, Treiber. He died in Darmstadt on the 19th December 1739
