Léon Jessel, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Szczecin on the 22nd Jenuary 1871, the same year of the composers Ambrosio, Arregui Garay, Blech, Borch, Converse, Demény, Kaempfert, Lowtzky, Mugellini, Nevin, Paliashvili, Patterson, Pipkov, Reuss, Robles, Shapleigh, Spendiaryan, Stenhammar, Urbach. He died in Berlino on the 4th Jenuary 1942
