The musician Edward Hubertus (Joannes) Keurvels, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Antwerpen on the 8th March 1853, the same year of the composers Arkas, Bridge, Henneberg, Knorr, Koessler, Lagoanère, Luard-Selby, Malherbe, Messager, Porumbescu, Rendano, Roger, Rousseau.
