The musician Johann Kuhnau (Cuno), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Geising on the 6th April 1660, the same year of the composers Ballaroti, Baseggio, Bernardi, Campra, Durón, Kusser, Matho, Monari, Purcell, Scarlatti.
