Wassili Leps, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in San Pietroburgo on the 12nd May 1870, the same year of the composers Breil, Büttner, Casadesus, Coerne, Dopper, Estella, Garcia Mansilla, Hermann, Hill, Hosmer, Koreshchenko, Lehár, Lekeu, Lleó, Malherbe, Mlynarski, Moreau, Novák, Opienski, Pittrich, Pons, Pryor, Ryelandt, Schenck, Schuster, Straus, Tournemire, Truman. Died in Toronto on the 22nd December 1942
