Karl Rankl, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Gaaden on the first October 1898, the same year of the composers Abramsky, Arundell, Bacarisse, Bacon, Cheslock, Claflin, Delannoy, Demuth, Eisler, Gershwin, Hamerik, Harsányi, Hába, James, Knipper, Krohn, Lazarus, Massarani, Mihalovici, Mulder, Plaza-Alfonzo, Rubinstein, Ullmann. He died in Salisburgo on the 6th September 1968
