The musician Ferit Tüzün, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Istanbul on the 24th April 1929, the same year of the composers Bloch, Bohác, Bredemeyer, Buenaventura, Cannon, Denisov, Devreese, Farberman, Gaslini, Glebov, Hoddinott, Kersters, Kohoutek, Kopytman, Kunz, Leighton, Londra, Mamangakis, Mamiya, Mayuzumi, Mestres-Quadreny, Nelson, Pousseur, Previn, Schäffer, Sculthorpe, Terteryan, Turok. He died in Ankara on the 21 October 1977
