The musician Aaron Avshalomov, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Nikolayevsk on the 11th November 1894, the same year of the composers Baranovic, Bennett, Borkovec, Capuana, Dessau, Dragoi, Granados y Campiña, Grosz, Heller, Kanitz, La Violette, Laquai, Lazar, Miyagi, Molina, Pijper, Polovinkin, Schulhoff, Siohan. He died in New York on the 26th April 1965
