The musician Arthur Bird, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Belmont on the 23th July 1856, the same year of the composers Aspestrand, Dupuis, Gabriel, Gall, Geisler, Gédalge, Kastalski, Macbeth, Mottl, Schütt, Sinding, Taneyev.
