Edvard Fliflet Braein, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Kristiansund on the 23th August 1924, the same year of the composers Aitken, Beversdorf, Braga Santos, Bunin, Camps, Dan, Dodgson, Erbse, George, Hollingsworth, Hovland, Huber, Iliev, Johnson, Kelemen, Kodalli, Kounadis, Kovaricek, Laderman, Lees, Mannino, Miroglio, Nono, Nowka, Orr, Perry, Rezác, Ribáry, Roy, Schurmann, Sciammarella, Starer, Szönyi, Taktakishvili. He died in Oslo on the 30th April 1976
