The composer Lockrem Johnson, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Davenport on the 15th March 1924, the same year of the composers Aitken, Beversdorf, Braein, Braga Santos, Bunin, Camps, Dan, Dodgson, Erbse, George, Hollingsworth, Hovland, Huber, Iliev, Kelemen, Kodalli, Kounadis, Kovaricek, Laderman, Lees, Mannino, Miroglio, Nono, Nowka, Orr, Perry, Rezác, Ribáry, Roy, Schurmann, Sciammarella, Starer, Szönyi, Taktakishvili. He died in Seattle on the 5th March 1977
