The musician Henry Louis Reginald De Koven, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Middletown on the third April 1859, the same year of the composers Bemberg, Dubois, Enna, Goepfart, Gunsbourg, Harcourt, Herbert, Ilyinsky, Mandl, Rösel, Schjelderup, Taubmann, Valle-Riestra. He died in Chicago on the 16th Jenuary 1920
