The musician Pierre-Louis-Philippe Dietsch (Dietz), author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Dijon on the 17th March 1808, the same year of the composers Balfe, Clapisson, Costa, Crouch, Curci, Elwart, Grisar, Hatton, Herrmann, Lucas, Ruolz-Montchal. He died in Parigi on the 20th February 1865
