Fritz (Bennicke) Hart, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Brockley on the 11th February 1874, the same year of the composers Bittner, Brandts Buys, Castaldi, Ettinger, Eysler, Gatty, Göhler, Hahn, Holst, Landré, Marteau. Henri, Nedbal, Neglia, Neumann, Onofri, Parelli, Pierné, Schmid, Schmidt, Schoenberg, Sánchez de Fuentes. He died in Honolulu on the 9th July 1949
