The musician Johann August Just, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Groningen in 1750, the same year of the composers Amendola, Calegari, Hanke, Kürzinger, Lanza, Lessel, Majer, Monti, Mortellari, Neubauer, Prati, Rosetti, Salieri, Schilson, Stabinger, Sterkel, Türk, Vancura.
