The composer Arnost (Ernest) Vancura (Wanczura), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Vamberk in 1750, the same year of the composers Amendola, Calegari, Hanke, Just, Kürzinger, Lanza, Lessel, Majer, Monti, Mortellari, Neubauer, Prati, Rosetti, Salieri, Schilson, Stabinger, Sterkel, Türk. He died in San Pietroburgo in 1801
