The composer Cornelie van Oosterzee, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Jakarta on the 16th August 1863, the same year of the composers Arbós, Baselt, Bax, Bordes, Brounoff, Campa, Clérice, Coronaro, Corri, Erlanger, Kaun, Lebrun, Leroux, Manrique de Lara (y Berry), Marschalk, Mascagni, Moór, Parker, Pierné, Samuel-Holeman, Soltys. Died in Berlino on the 8th August 1943
