The musician (Henri-Constant-)Gabriel Pierné was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Metz on the 16th August 1863, the same year of the composers Arbós, Baselt, Bax, Bordes, Brounoff, Campa, Clérice, Coronaro, Corri, Erlanger, Kaun, Lebrun, Leroux, Manrique de Lara (y Berry), Marschalk, Mascagni, Moór, Oosterzee, Parker, Samuel-Holeman, Soltys. He died in Ploujean (Morlaix, Finistère) on the 17th July 1937
