The musician August Pepöck, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Gmunden on the 10th May 1887, the same year of the composers Atterberg, Boulanger, Bretan, Brewster-Jones, Collingwood, de Leone, Delgadillo, Dieren, Harling, Jachino, Johnson, Lindberg, Paumgartner, Reiser, Romberg, Schadewitz, Shaporin, Stephan, Tagliapietra, Toch, Usandizaga.
