The composer Carl Schadewitz, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in St. Ingbert on the 23th Jenuary 1887, the same year of the composers Atterberg, Boulanger, Bretan, Brewster-Jones, Collingwood, de Leone, Delgadillo, Dieren, Harling, Jachino, Johnson, Lindberg, Paumgartner, Pepöck, Reiser, Romberg, Shaporin, Stephan, Tagliapietra, Toch, Usandizaga. He died in Reppendorf (Kitzingen) on the 27th March 1945
