Rudi Stephan, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Worms on the 29th July 1887, the same year of the composers Atterberg, Boulanger, Bretan, Brewster-Jones, Collingwood, de Leone, Delgadillo, Dieren, Harling, Jachino, Johnson, Lindberg, Paumgartner, Pepöck, Reiser, Romberg, Schadewitz, Shaporin, Tagliapietra, Toch, Usandizaga. He died in Tarnopol on the 29th September 1915
