The composer Ludwig Rottenberg was born in Chernovtsy on the 11th October 1864, the same year of the composers Albert, Azkué, Bachelet, Beer-Walbrunn, Berwald, Borgström, Browne, Castro Herrera, Goepp, Grechaninov, Körling, Lauber, Leoni, Nepomuceno, Othegraven, Procházka, Ropartz, Strauss. He died in Francoforte sul Meno on the 6th May 1932
