The musician Jan Nepomuk Skroup (Skraup) was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Osice on the 15th September 1811, the same year of the composers Arnold, Becker, Blahetka, Catelani, Godefroid, Hiller, Liszt, Orlowski, Schindelmeisser, Speranza, Taubert, Thomas, Truhn.
