The composer Frantisek Jan Skroup was born in Osice on the third June 1801, the same year of the composers Antoni, Bellini, Berggreen, Bree, Concone, Ellerton, Hewitt, Janssens, Kalliwoda, La Fage, Lindblad, Lortzing.
