Jehan Alain

(1911-1940)

The composer Jehan Alain was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in St Germain en Laye on the third February 1911, the same year of the composers Bartolozzi, Bergman, Burkhard, Cikker, Gershfeld, Grunenwald, Hercigonja, Herrmann, Hovhaness, Kiesewetter, Koetsier, Menotti, Mul, Napoli, Ocenas, Reizenstein, Rota, Schultze, Shimizu, Smith, Tate. He died in Saumur on the 20th June 1940
