The composer Paul Eisler, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Vienna on the 9th September 1875, the same year of the composers Agostini, Alfano, Coleridge-Taylor, Courvoisier, Darzins, Fano, Février, Glier, Horák, Huszka, Ketèlbey, Kreisler, Labey, Mariotte, Melartin, Montemezzi, Nouguès, Ollone, Pacchierotti, Panizza, Ravel, Riccitelli, Rootham, Rubens, Rôze, Scheinpflug, Shaw, Szulc, Tovey, Valverde Sanjuán. He died in New York on the 16th October 1951
