The composer Marcel Labey, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Le Vésinet on the 6th August 1875, the same year of the composers Agostini, Alfano, Coleridge-Taylor, Courvoisier, Darzins, Eisler, Fano, Février, Glier, Horák, Huszka, Ketèlbey, Kreisler, Mariotte, Melartin, Montemezzi, Nouguès, Ollone, Pacchierotti, Panizza, Ravel, Riccitelli, Rootham, Rubens, Rôze, Scheinpflug, Shaw, Szulc, Tovey, Valverde Sanjuán. Died in Nancy on the 25th November 1968
