Iacob Muresianu was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Brasov on the 11th July 1857, the same year of the composers Berté, Bruneau, Chaminade, Dellinger, Dluski, Doppler, Elgar, Kelley, Kerker, Kienzl, Lazzari, Leoncavallo, Pasmore, Planchet, Schoenefeld, Spetrino, Tarditi. He died in Blaj on the 6th June 1917
