Gustave Adolph Kerker was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Herford on the 28th February 1857, the same year of the composers Berté, Bruneau, Chaminade, Dellinger, Dluski, Doppler, Elgar, Kelley, Kienzl, Lazzari, Leoncavallo, Muresianu, Pasmore, Planchet, Schoenefeld, Spetrino, Tarditi.
