The composer Alexandre-Clément-Léon-Joseph Luigini, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Lyons on the 9th March 1850, the same year of the composers Brandts Buys, Bretón y Hernández, Fanciulli, Faning, Fibich, Georges, Heuberger, Jordan, Keil, Komzák, Lange-Müller, Meyer-Olbersleben, Miguez, Olsen, Scharwenka, Scontrino, Serrano y Ruiz, Simon, Taneyev, Thomas, Thomé, Toulmouche, Urspruch. He died in Parigi on the 29th July 1906
